The Cambridge Brass Auxiliary Band was formed in late 2015 to create an avenue for learners, children as well as adults, and musicians returning to band playing. By the last quarter of 2016 several players had graduated to the senior band.
Cambridge Brass is endeavouring to create an encouraging environment in the Auxiliary Band with much support from the other Band musicians.

At present Cambridge Brass has an active group of players who regularly perform as a quintet and occasionally as a trio or a quartet. They form these ensembles to play at venues which are either unsuitable for the main band, or where the needs of the audience are better suited to a smaller group of players.
As a quintet our ensemble players have represented Cambridge Brass at Regional and National Competitions as well as at public engagements.
