Jazz Music at the Waikato Museum

Our quintet played jazz in the Waikato Museum in Hamilton. If you missed them they will be back in July to play a selection of medieval music.

Cambridge Brass Played at a Luncheon for Guests from Le Quesnoy.

The Auxiliary band played to greet Cambridge's guests at a luncheon held for guests from Le Quesnoy. The senior band then played while the hosts and guest dined.

On the eighteenth of February a quintet played to guests from Cambridge's sister city of Le Quesnoy in northern France and their hosts.

The last carolling session of the year was in the Waikato Museum by the Cambridge Brass Ensemble.

The last carolling session of the whole band for the year spiced up with a talent from the kitchen.

Carols under the shade of a tree followed by chocolate fish! We get all the perks.

The band played carols in the courtyard under a pergola while residents lined the courtyard in the shade of the verandas and roof over-hangs. It was beautiful but hot afternoon finished with icecreams all round.

A quintet from Cambridge Brass played a concert of mainly carols at the Waikato Museum in Hamilton.

The band had a visitor while playing outside the entrance to Cambridge Mitre10.

Along with the normal carols there were a couple of surprises.

Cambridge Christmas Festival Carols in the Town Hall: 14 December 2016.

The band performed a concert in the Cambridge Town Hall surrounded by decorated Christmas trees.

Carols on the Lawn at Lauriston Park: 11 December 2016.

Cambridge Brass played on the lawn in front of the old homestead at Lauriston Park before joining in the barbecue.

Putaruru Christmas Parade: 9 December 2016.

Cambridge Brass played on a street corner as the parade went by and then as it returned. We then played in Glenshea Park to the christmas crowd before having a picnic dinner. A glorious evening.

Christmas Break-up at the Playcentre: 9 December 2016.

A few players entertained the children and adults at the playcentre across the carpark from the the Cambridge Brass bandrooms. Many then did a dash to Putaruru for the Christmas parade.

Oakdale Resthome: 9 December 2016.

The band played carols for the residents. It was the beginning of a long day for a number of players.

Cambridge Christmas Parade: 4 December 2016.

The band arranged themselves under the shade of a tree by the clock tower and played carols to the assembling crowd. Another fine Waikato day.

Cambridge Craft Fair: 26 November 2016.

The Auxiliary Band, Ensemble and Senior Band all played at the craft fair in Leamington Domain. Some of the band went for a ride on the trains.

Cambridge St John Youth Prizegiving: 19 November 2016.

Cambridge Brass provided music for the Cambridge branch of St John's annual youth prizegiving.

Cambridge Brass Ensemble Rememberance Sunday at the Waikato Museum: 13 November 2016.

The Waikato Museum has an exhibition "For Us They Fell: Waikato WW1 Centenary Exhibition", running from 2014 to Armistice Day 2018. The Ensemble performed a concert of World War 1 era music to mark the day.

Cambridge Armistice Service Rememberance Sunday: 13 November 2016.

The band played at the annual Rememberance Sunday Service on the steps of the Cambridge Town Hall.

Liberation of Le Quesnoy Commemorations: 4 November 2016.

A quintet played in the Thornton Road Band Rotunda as people played the very french game of petanque and the british game of bowls, in a fine early New Zealand summer evening.

Cambridge Historical Society: 9 October 2016.

The Ensemble played on the porch of the Cambridge Bowling Club pavilion to mark the sixtieth anniversary of the Cambridge Historical Society.

Lauriston Park Concert: 12 September 2016.

The Auxiliary Band, the Ensemble and the Senior Band all played in a concert for the residents of the Lauriston Park Retirement Village.

Waikato and Bay of Plenty Regional Brass Band Competitions: 3 and 4 September 2016.

As individuals, as ensembles and as a band Cambridge Brass participated in the 2016 Regional Championships held in Te Awamutu.

The Ensemble represented Cambridge in Napier at the Brass Band Nationals.

A trio gave an impromptu concert in the Italian Renaissance Gardens.

A quintet gave a concert at this year's Fieldays.
